Description
This identification reader, also called i-Button, is the version of the SAGA Dallas reader adapted to the JOA touchscreen point of sale terminal. It takes the form of a magnetic ring which, on contact with a magnetic Dallas key, identifies the user and opens their checkout session: each cashier or server logs in within a second, with no password to type. The reader fits into the side of the terminal with an internal connection directly to the motherboard, then is secured with two screws, so that no cable protrudes from the installation. Like its counterpart for the OVA range, it exists in USB communication or as a virtual COM port, depending on the needs of the point of sale software. This option is added to the JOA in the same way as the integrated printer or the customer display, and it is covered by a one-year return to workshop warranty.
