Description
Called i-Button, this identification reader is designed for OVA II touchscreen cash registers. It takes the form of a magnetic ring: on contact with an encoded Dallas key, the user is identified and logged into their register session. This device is most often used to identify cashiers in food service, but also suits retail to track sales by clerk. The reader slots into the side of the terminal, with internal wiring and a two-screw fixing, and remains compatible with OVA II units in both 4:3 and 16:9 formats. This version uses a virtual COM over USB interface (USB-VCOM); a USB mode variant also exists. The matching Dallas keys, available in five colors, are sold individually under the IBTK reference.
